The Doors are closed!

It's been a while, yet again, but with over 3000 of you each month, hopefully this post will keep you all informed, as it's been a busy time.  First of all, 'Resistance' is now in full swing and although the shooting schedule of February 2012 is ambitious, it's all on track, with Populus Pictures giving me everything I have asked for to date.  It's great to have a forward thinking team behind me and i'm sure that the film I have been desperate to make for almost 2 years is now well on the way to achieving all it should.  I'd love to be able to tell you all who the cast is, but producers and agents, as well as contracts do not allow me to do this right now, but needless to say, an OSCAR winner will always help us when it comes to making a great film.  Another project that is gaining momentum is 'Nor The Moon By Night', written by Graham Rushton and is of a similar vein.  It's a WWII drama based on heroic and selfless deeds and these stories need to be told, as both of these do.  This amazing script was such an easy read, that once again I find myself delighted to be associated with such a worthwhile film project and even though we are at the early stages of development, it's something that people are getting behind.  My other film, 'Bitches' is just about at the completed script stage, and we are still hoping to shoot this year, with some familiar faces on offer again.  'Bitches' is certainly going to grab a headline or two, as we have not swerved any subjects at all, as many filmmakers do!

The building work is coming along nicely, but it's difficult to manage from the UK, so is taking more time than I had hoped, but maybe I can get out there for a week or so soon, I feel like I need a break from London at the moment.  We have two amazing animation projects lined up, 'Pulling Strings' is an animation & live action film that has a old fashioned 'family values' feel to it and will really test the animators involved.  The studio is being created to give animators a place to come together and work, help each other and to swap ideas too, and is a free place to work for all.  I didn't want to make money for charging for the facility, as many animators struggle enough to keep their passion alive, so wanted to create a place that was simply there for all to use.  I'll let you know how things go.  MASIVE Films now have two TV projects in development too, one for children, an early learning animation for young children, designed to make learning about numbers fun and a sit-com that was written sometime ago and continues to make people laugh.  Next on the horizon however, is AOF Film Festival in LA, which is just a few weeks away now and it's even more exciting as Drew(The Dinner Party & Speed Date) is coming with, along with my sidekick Marco and Heidi (Speed Date) too, so all in all, we have quite a presence out there.  On a personal note, i'm finally meeting Caitlin (Writer of Resistance) for the first time too, which is much anticipated!  I'll keep you all posted when I get back, in the mean time, stay safe!  X
