No Consequence???

Hello all, thanks for checking back in!  It's all about 'Consequence' at the moment, as the new web-site is live now (www.filmconsequence.com) and we launched our trailer live last week (2nd May) to a pre-Cannes crowd at a Central London event.  It was very well received and some nice things were said!  It got me thinking though, as much as we all like to receive nice comments, how on earth do we turn them into valuable assets?  Over the last 12 months, I have heard things like "Si has created a brand new genre of film" & "Fellini-esque", as well as my favourite, the "bad-boy filmmaker", but basically, they aren't worth anything, or are they?  The power of the press love quotes from other people, as proven recently at the Pre-Cannes event.  Being interviewed by two very pretty and incredibly tall interviewers, I heard one say to the other "i'm going to ask him about being the bad-boy filmmaker first", which shows me that she had done her research, but also, that she wanted to go with a story from a year ago. Also, it's good to have a quote that you can use on press releases too and thanks to MASIVE Films press guru Nicki, we are lining up lots of press to promote 'Consequence' over the coming few months.  I'll post links here in future, as well as to the usual social media groups, that are now, unfortunaltely, part of every day life.  I'm off to Cannes for some meetings over the next couple of weeks, so i'll fill you all in when I return.  Hope to see you at the Premiere on August 16th, tickets are now available through the consequence site.  Take care!

And now it begins...

I've been here before, the long hours working on an edit, where days pass by and you forget birthdays, meals, appointments, but this time it's different.  It's different because for the first time, I have a team of people helping me to achieve the goals we have set ourselves.  Our Gala evening is being prepared already, with a very impressive 1500 seat venue in London, along with supporting artists, cabaret and compere, but also sponsorship deals, advertising, promotion and publicity.   Read more...

Finishing the Shoot for Consequence !!

What a fantastic week that was had by all the Cast and Crew for the shoot of the film Consequence !!After six days and averaging about 18 hours a day filming, it certainly was challenging but I could not be more happy about the outcome of a weeks worth of footage.Katie Richmond playing the lead character in the feature film was flawless and an absolute pleasure to work with. When you work with someone so professional and absorbs the character in such depth it makes my job even more enjoyable!!Included in the rest of the cast were Paul Dewdney, Annalea Doyle and Daniel Mullins who all gave fantastic contributions, as always their work is never disappointing.Included in the crew is the Director of Photograhy - Dawid Pietkowicz, Assistant Director - Robyn McKinnon, Trevor Clarke - Executive Producer, Paul Dewdney - Producer and Alexandra Vlcek - Principal Make Up Artist to name but a few.  We all worked under tight time constraints as well as various locations across Kent and Sussex which never would of happened without you all. It was a great team and we will all be working together next week which I am looking forward to, except only two days left of shooting. So my trusted cast and crew can breath a sigh of relief on Tuesday night and enjoy a few drinks with me at the wrap party.I am really excited about the footage we have so far. The work ethic has been phenomenal by each and everyone. So just wanted to state my thank you's. Looking very much forward to joining everyone again on the 2nd May 2012 when we will be attending the Pre Cannes Film Social Night in London and showing our trailer of the film for the first time !!Will update you all soon on how post production is going and obviously when the CONSEQUENCE premiere will be !! Tickets will be available to purchase and a great night will be had !!
